Terminix baltimore office

Pros Great coworkers. Cons Super long days and extreme physical labor. Was this review helpful? Report Share. They will overwork you and under pay you and when they decide to get rid of you you will be blindsided because they will use any reason they can to let you go if it benefits them.

Pros Take your truck home from work. Cons Overworked and under paid-Will make up any reason to let you go. I enjoyed working at Terminix because it's a good sales job with salary plus commission, for the first year; and the leads are pretty solid.

I just wish it could have been my last job, but seasonal sales has its downfalls. There's not enough time to service customer needs except for regular maintenance. Management was ok. Went thru 4 direct supervisors in 2 years.

Your experience matters. Help out others considering your employer. Rate your employer. I had some of the best trainers and supervisors. They actually care about your success. They were helpful. My personal life got hectic and I loss a lot of people when I worked there but my managers were very helpful. Pros Benefits, work from home, good management.

Great supervisors just a lot of stress put on sales. There really is no base salary it's solely commission based which puts a lot of stress on the salespersons because if you don't make a certain amount of money for the company you don't get paid.

They are quick to take money from customers, but if there is an issue. It is up to the salesman to try and make things right with the customer.

No support from current management whatsoever. On the sales side of things, you are pressured to work saturdays. When being recruited, they will tell you 1 Saturday a month is required. But will pressure you and guilt you into working everyone until you stand up for yourself. Then at that point, you might as well be out the door.

They fired a manager for trying to do the right thing and turn in a crooked employee. Cons Long days, excessive Saturday work. No home time without feeling guilty. So-so company a good way to start yourself in Pest Control to give you an idea of how much work it can be and decent earning potential if you work a lot but you have to game the production system which is unfair.

Went through many managers whilst I were there somewhere good and wanted to change others were not so good and didn't care so you never felt like personally knowing anyone there. Unrealistic expectations however there was never any reprimand or threat from not achieving all of the work done for the day but it did affect your production to have missed stops that were out of your Control.

Over all a decent place to start to give you an idea of the field to then move on to a better company where your work life balance and day to day is better. Management is untrustworthy and does not have your back though so you are on your own to make sure you defend your performance. I worked in coastal NC. The management was awful and they pushed you for more than 12 hours per day, six days a week.

Getting any time off was like pulling teeth. This job is only good for someone who truly cannot find anything else. I have never worked so hard for so little and been so completely miserable. Working at terminix was truly the worst experience of my life.

Pros None. Cons Bad management, poor pay, filthy conditions. This is an extremely thankless job. Jobs at Terminix. Pest Technician Trainee. Remote Customer Service Representative. My route was killing me. No time to take care of customer needs. Just spray and go. Pros Non. Sales 3 jobs. Customer Service 1 job. See all available jobs. Pest Control Technician. Explore more salaries. Hourly Licensed Technician.

Simply put Terminix is a job, I would recommend coming in and establishing boundries for management. Overall the culture of the company does not care how many hours you work a day. Most of the routes that they will have availible and attempt to sign you over too cannot even pay you 30k. I chose to remain hourly while I was assigned a route due to business needs? Managment took thier time in hiring people even though we were understaffed in order to collect the comission on the monthly accounts.

While hourly I can collect overtime and somewhat balance the lack of compensation. This can be a decent job, personally I have gone to school and worked another job overnights. You have to refuse to continously burn yourself out and establish with management what is acceptable and what will not be tolerated. Exclusion tech in Baltimore, MD 1.
