We introduce a foundation of basic body awareness, develop eye-hand coordination and show them how fitness can be fun. This is a critical age to teach functional athletic components in a motivating, team-building atmosphere. We focus on building speed, agility, and coordination through movement-based programs.
This age level will meet for pre-season classes. Outrun opponents, break away from defenders, and perform at your highest level the entire game. Our strengthening program will improve shooting speed and reduce the risk of injury out on the field. Our sport-specific training establishes a base of strength and increases in complexity as each child is ready to progress. For the University of Denver women's lacrosse team, the fall season is a time for learning the system, building camaraderie with one another and setting the foundation for the spring regular season. Digby is already fielding inquiries from girls coaches and parents from communities across the Front Range, as far north as Fort Collins and as far south as Castle Rock.
The Bandits organization hopes to move the girls program into a graduation-year based model, but in leaders are planning to field only as many teams as numbers will allow for the best instruction and experience for participants.
